A spectacular gala evening, staged in style at The Greene King Stadium, saw 18-year-old Emma Carter chosen as Hinckley's Carnival Queen for 2010.
Supporting Emma as Maids of Honour are Stacey Padfield and Talitha Anders, and all three were presented with their sashes by 2009 winner Amy Taaffe and bouquets donated by Tulips florists.
The event was organised by Bar Vis-à-vis owner Kevin Whelan and Holiday Lounge Director Paul Moss, and was hosted by local comedian Tony Tadman. He announced all events throughout the night, including soloist “Becky” and local band Funktion.
The night began with a £100 Heads and Tails game won by hairdresser Scott Bailye, which was followed by a three course meal for the 120 diners who attended the gala event. Becky then entertained the audience before the raffle was drawn, which included a main prize of a fantastic holiday for two in a 5 star hotel in Cyprus.
The Carnival Queen event was then held and the winner was crowned before Funktion played the night out.
